SAT/ACT FEE WAIVER INFORMATION

Students who receive free/reduced lunch are eligible for fee waivers for the ACT/SAT exams. See Ms. Wolfe to receive a waiver.

A student is entitled to two ACT waivers and two SAT waivers throughout high school. A student may also receive two SAT Subject Test Date waivers (which would cover six subject tests b/c a student may take up to three on one test date)

There is a difference between how the SAT and ACT handle late registration and fee waivers.
For the SAT: If you are registering late, you can use the waiver to cover the cost of the test and the late fee
For the ACT: If you are registering late, you can use the waiver to cover the regular test fee ($58) but will have to pay the late fee ($27.50).

If you sign up for a test using a waiver but do not take the test, it still counts as using that waiver. You will have to complete a test date change and pay a fee in order to use that waiver for a different test date.

If you used a fee waiver to take the SAT, you are entitled to four college application fee waivers. Seniors, if you took the SAT last year using a fee waiver you will receive four college application fee waivers directly from the SAT company, College Board. You can locate these waivers in the My Organizer section of your College Board account.

If you used a fee waiver to take the ACT, you are eligible for unlimited college application fee waivers and you can receive them from me. Most, but not all, colleges accept application fee waivers. A notable exception is Broward College which does not accept application waivers.
